It was always believed by many scientists and exercise experts that there is a distinct link to exercise and the bodies well being. Now there have been even more advanced and detailed results to prove the relationship between brain development and exercise. Using exercise to boost the brain to function better is what researchers have found to be happening without the knowledge of the persons doing the exercises.

This happened as persons get fitter with every minute of exercise they do. The hippocampus is responsible for memory and learning and has been found to be responsible for children improving their grades because they engage in some kind of physical activity between classes. The German researchers have shown that students who engage in physical activities of cycling and walking during learning, helped especially students who are learning a foreign language. It helps in the memory process. They also advise exercising while doing a revision, as it helps retention of information. This is the plus side of exercise in relation to brain function and memory. They have also found that doing this until it becomes a stressful activity will interfere with the capacity to retain or remember information previously studied. So, do things in moderation. This scientific report does not work only for children, it is also applicable to adults of any age. What to Do Physical activity for any person is good. It not only boosts energy but it also helps in improving your mood and responses to situations which you may generally respond in the negative. It was found that persons who engage in exercises have improved levels of the “endocannabinoid system” which is the psychoactive receptors in the brain. In essence, it triggers the need to move and the exhilaration one feels when being in a positive and rewarding situation. Yoga is challenged to be the culprit of these results. Yoga is the means of teaching the body breathing and movement activities which helps in relaxation. In engaging in this activity they are able to reduce stress levels which in turn shrinks the part of the brain that triggers stress, anxiety, and fear. This result was found out by a 2010 study done with persons participating in yoga over an eight-week study. As the study shows that exercise not only enhances physical wellbeing, it also improves memory so it is important for individuals to engage in some extracurricular activity. The brain does not act in isolation from the body, so the results have proven the relation to the body as well. Age should not be a deterrent from exercising. It should be an encouragement, as we will be able to function for as long as it is possible for our memory or brains are able to be productive. Whatever you enjoyed as a physical activity is advised. Walking, jogging, gardening, yoga, aerobics or swimming are activities we have done at some time in our functioning lives, so, engaging in any one of these will be beneficial.
